Account Status: Frozen

October 12, 2009

Yes. After playing since 2005, after having been played same character since January 2006, after 3 whole years, my account is canceled for a second time. The first one was on the Autumn of 2007 when i moved to UK. That was a forced result while this one is because of boredom.

World of Warcraft, while it is mesmerisingly charming and beautiful, has become boring. I believe that is only because of one reason: Trial of the Grand Crusader and its silly concept of different lockouts. Because it is designed only for top guilds on earth, my guild who raids 3 days a week can’t make it at all. But the real worst part for me is, my guild can’t make a 10man Ulduar raid.

We have a great paladin named Elkan, who has absolute and infinite talking and talking and talking skills, which grants him the viability to collect whoever he wants. And since every skilled player goes with him, there is no other option to form a secondary raid for Ulduar10 just to be able to stick to my brother.

Anyway. WoW has become shit. Cataclysm’s destruction on old zones, i hate that idea.

Wrathstone

Wrathstone

Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket

Requires Level 80

Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 108 (2.35% @ L80).
Use: Increases attack power by 856 for 20 sec. (2 Min Cooldown)

————————————————

Seeing this trinket pretty much around, but most likely on good DPS players was making me think what makes it so easy to choose. With all honesty, i don’t like the “on use” on items and especially trinkets unless it is for fun(Piccolo of the Flaming Fire <3) so i didn’t really want the Wrathstone. I was thinking that for a long, long time i’ll be carrying the Mirror of Truth since the only true upgrade for me was looking like the Dark Matter from 25man Algalon, which, i am never going to have engaged.

But when it dropped of the cache of Kologarn, i decided to give it a try. Even though i wasn’t sure, i quickly changed my mind and decided to give it to Nouvel through GM petition. But right after the raid i checked the DPS spreadsheets and the trinket ranking, and i was kinda surprised that this trinket may improve the DPS between 100-200 when used carefully and executed best.

I kept it, and the very next day it proved its worthiness. If Nùira gets it as well, i believe we’ll rock at XT-002 Deconstructor hard mode in 25man anytime soon.

Here’s the DPS increase by the Wrathstone:

Against all odds

Ability_Mount_Drake_Twilight copyReins of the Black Drake

Against the all odds, we managed to kill Sartharion on Normal Difficulty with 3 drakes up. What was the deal then? It was a SPEED RUN. Normally the speed runs are done either with full melee or full caster raids. But we had confidence in our gear and skills, and gave it a go. At our third try, we had him down to 15% without Heroism. To see how it goes, we replaced our lowest DPS, Lîxan , with Kitali from Twilight Empire, a shaman. The next 2 tries brought him to 6% and 5%. As the last move, i brought my paladin to the entrance and buffed everyone except my hunter with Greater Blessing of Kings. And the next correct and proper try, he just died and we didn’t even wipe. I did 5.9k DPS.

We proved that the cult thought of having pure physical or caster DPS is just not really necessary. With proper gear and skill, a mixed raid with all buffs can pretty much kill him. All that really necessary thing in the raid is shaman, for Heroism. Our raid setup was:

Restferkin – Main tank Bear

Oru – Healer Tree

Zethron – Drake Kiter, DPS Cat

Kaira – DPS Survival

Tisara – DPS Blood

Enoxia – DPS Shadow

Nùira – DPS Marksmanship

Kitali – DPS Enhancement

Kashell – DPS Fury

Daemion – DPS Destruction

Daemion rolled the highest number for the drake, but he chose to give it to me as a rewarding gift in the manner of gratefulness for me organizing the run. On a sidenot, i had 4 achievements at a time he died.

I wonder what Sartharion 3d on Heroic Difficulty will look like. Theorically, calculations prove that  he will be easier in 25man. We will see!

Think.

Vezax Room

While life goes on, it definitely is not even trying to catch the speed of our minds. I think so fast and sudden, like how movie frames change but the life itself never gives a chance with letting us make what we think right on. Therefore, human being gets bored and keeps on with thinking and imagine more and more and in an unaware status we slowly get away from what once we were so close and encountered in our brains. The real danger lies here is, to lose what reality was linked to that visual.

My guild, Direct Defiance finally managed to get down General Vezax in 25man Ulduar. We made 6 desperate and 3 promising tries and he got dead at the last try.

General Vezax – Combat Log

Whilst it was a great night to enjoy, to realize how my mind was paralyzed within the game cost me half of my HDD. Looking for a crack for a very small mp3 splitter ended with a virus which instantly started to delete all folders and exe files as well as locking down the keyboard. Shutting down the PC asap and installing the Windows presented me a good oppurtunity of time to “think” of real things, like the ones beloved in expectations.

When the sun started to rise, no other thought but one was in final conclusion: Damaged Windows can be repaired, but a broken love not.

Kaira, Night Elf Hunter – The Venture Co-EU

As i’ve been thinking of being a self-ranged bLog writer for a while, the time is now to embody the idea. The idea is to keep a track of my World of Warcraft character, whom i’ve been playing for 3.5 years. As she is not my oldest character, what makes her special in my domain is that I, as a player, learned almost everything related to WoW through the gaming experiences via HER. And for 3.5 years, what i learned and experienced left almost nothing but memories behind. Even the numbers of worthy screenshots are so few.

Whilst the characters that players put most effort are generally the mains or the most beloved, the player based stories behind that character “imagined” by the player itself make it much more “focused”. Of course, i have a story behind my character. But that’s not really related to what she is; but the reason behind her name and the creation of hers.

The screenshot above was taken at 22′nd December 2008, when my previous guild, Twilight Empire on The Venture Co-EU killed Kil’jaeden as server first and before pre-nerf. Myself wasn’t present in that raid, but thankfully my guild master Maltuvion proved a humor of gratitude towards all the guild members who had helped even a small step to push the guild forward.

It was that time, that when i looked through the screenshot, a thought just passed through my mind: There is so much to be written, so much before being forgotten...
